I am extremely privileged and lucky to have been able to go on this vacation and buy these Danish wordly possessions. Thank you to my parents and the universe for bestowing this opportunity on me! I will be forever grateful.

Sometimes I like filming the inherent armature-ness my videos always capture. The certain "home video" quality from a bygone era. Other times, I wish I was a professional videographer with an extensive profile and distinct style. Both times I wish I taped the videos in a higher quality.
I wish I could show you another video I made that I deem better, but I have the faces of my friends who do not wish to be shown publicly in it.
I guess you will just have to become my friend to see it, then!
Um, I hope I don't get copyright-striked.
Also, hover over an image to find out whether I took it on phone or camera!
LAST DAY UNTIL I LEAVE!!! I AM SO SAD!!! I DON'T WANT TO GO, I WANT TO STAY DON'T MAKE ME GO BACK!!!! Sigh, can you believe I still needed to shop for souvenirs? So I stopped by the mall AGAIN and did some small last-minute shopping.
There was a photobooth in the mall that I was curious about, so I tried it, but holy moly, every photo the camera took of me came out massively over-exposed except ONE photo. Grrr... I wanted a photo to take home. Oh, well...
Then, my other graunt offered to buy me a shirt from a store I liked here in Denmark! Thank you graunt! I landed on a very soft-to-the-touch brown and white striped, long sleeved shirt. It's sooo soft... Probably because it's 100% cotton!
After, I was driven to my graunt and gruncle's house for one last meal with the whole family. My gruncle made flæskesteg burgers! Mmmmm... He is a really good cook... Following the dinner, we all just relaxed and ate some snacks--it was really nice just being out in the garden with my family. I drew, as well. It was great and I am sad to say goodbye to all this and return to my home country...

Goodbye, Denmark... :(
Last day to go downtown! I quickly did some last minute shopping with my father. I was able to buy some more vintage pieces! I bought a lace white camisole, a midi skirt from mexx with an interesting design, a green v neck form fitting from Esprit, and a cool brown fur lined sweater from Glimmer by J.J. Basics, and a green bracelet. Awesome!! I also went to an antique store to see if they still had a necklace I saw, but alas... They did not...
I saw a Twin Peaks themed place, but I didn't go in!! Darnit!! I should've...

Then, we did some last minute souvenir shoping and met up with my father's cousin! We went to a restaurant after and I had the most mouth-watering lamb everrrr. I am still dreaming about it... The place also had a two toilet bathroom stall? That was funny, I will insert a photo.

photo is...
Bye!
I went to look at some record stores today! I went to this cute little record store first on my bike. I was hoping to find a Doors self-titled CD because last time I came here they had it, but not this time. I'm pretty sure all the CDs and records here are secondhand, so that made sense, anyway. I found an Elliott Smith CD, though! I've been meaning to listen to him, so I'm excited to pop this one into my CD player!
Next, I tried to go to another record store, but it took me AGES to find. The image of the storefront on Google Maps was totally different from how it actually looked like, so it took me forever. I thought I was going crazy.
When I went inside, there was a lot of middle-aged metalheads, so I did feel a little out of place, but I looked through all the CDs nonetheless. I landed on the Life is Peachy album by Korn. I don't really listen to Korn all that much anymore, but it felt weird to me that I didn't have my second favourite album by them. I bought this CD after first leaving the store once and coming back, too, haha. When I went to pay, the man was very nice, asking me if I lived here and if I was vacationing or not. He also asked if I'd seen the other Korn CDs, but I already had the other ones, so I did not get them. He then gave me the store's business card and that was that. Awesome!
Then, my father and I biked to a restaurant surrounded by a moat. We met my father's friends and they very graciously paid for our dinner! It was very delicious. They also gave me a lot of presents as a belated birthday gift! What!! I did not expect that at all! It was very kind of them! I am very thankful.

snapping a pic...
Then, it was home time. I took some nice photos of the sunset.

Bakken today?? Bakken?? I was excited to go here with my family because the mascot of the place is Pierrot from La Comédie-Italienne and I love Pierrot. In Denmark, Pierrot is often depicted as the bumbling bafoon version, instead of the sad clown it usually is depicted as in other places.
First, half of us went on a horse carridge ride around the park, because the amusement park is enclosed by a large forest. I saw much deer! There were even albino ones, which I'd never seen before. It was on this carridge ride that my father also thought he lost his wallet...But it just fell out in the car, heehee!

Following the ride, we regrouped with the rest of the family and I went on some rides with the kids. I didn't try too many crazy ones until later. While my father and I were waiting for the kids to finish the log ride, we stumbled into an iris photography shop. I did not care to buy any of the products, I just wanted to see my eye up close... Sorry, store clerksman, you did not make a sale today. I was a little disappointed in my iris, though, because in the sample mirror outside, my eyes looked much more colourful, but not in the photos. Grrr...

Later on, after getting some things to drink, my father's cousin offered me to go to this 4D theatre with her kids. I accepted, a little curious... Only for the 4D experience theatre to be water-themed and it splashed water on my face... I was a little miffed, to say the least.
Then, we went on a Western style shooting game where you sat on a plastic horse and shot at...Pirates? Well, the discrepancies were funny and it was also funny that the game was in British English.
Afterwards, my father's other cousin and I went through a haunted house ride and I didn't get scared, but he did, so that was also very silly. I did scream just for the fun of it, though.
Then, the pirate ship, a small rollercoaster, then the BIG rollercoaster... Before riding the last one, the employees had to power wash the rollercoaster cart because someone puked on it beforehand, hahahaha. Then, my cousin's kid had to ride in that seat which was very unfortunate for him... I find that as I'm getting older, rollercoasters are starting to hurt my neck as I'm usually getting it whipped around for the lack of neck support on the seats. I am no longer short enough that it protects me... So... Ouch! Also, on the last one I accidentally gripped onto the part that was holding me inside the ride so hard, that I inadvertently made the mechanism way tighter than it needed to be and almost squeezed myself till I popped. Thankfully the ride wasn't very long and I went to the washroom beforehand, hahahahaha.

Finally, we had some dinner in the park. You know how I love my caeser salads, so I had to get one. Tasty!
There was also an imitation set of the Danish show "Matador" set in the 20s-40s, so that was lovely as well! The inside of the stores there were mostly 20s themed than 40s theme, but I'm not complaining because I love 20s style even more! The outside was more 40's, too.
That was allll!
Today I woke up feeling really under the weather, so my father and I decided to take it easy today and buy some pain medication from the mall.
It was a bit of a hassle to find the pain medication, though because we didn't know that all the pain medication was hidden behind the counter at regular grocery stores. So, we went to the pharmacy, but was told to take a number ticket from the machine, in which it broke right as we tried to do it.
But, you know, we eventually figured it out and I took the pain medication.
We then decided to meet some of the family for lunch at a bakery. It was very rainy once again, but we decided to sit outside anyway. Even though it was raining so hard the rain can splashing down from the awning and onto the tables. I ate a panini! I did not read the menu correctly and was a little bummed to find out there was no meat inside, so this one is for you, vegetarians!

After sitting for a while and talking, my father's cousn asks if I would like a t-shirt that says the town name on it because she noticed my stealing of my father's shirt. I said yes! Thank you so much! And she lead me to a store right next to the bakery that sold exactly that. She bought a shirt with green lettering for me. I love the colour green...And brown, for that matter. Thank you so much!
Later, my father and I went to Magasin in downtown Copenhagen just to look around and buy more souvenirs, I didn't feel like going farther into downtown because I stil didn't feel the best (and it was raining), so we spent all of our time there.
Then we went home!
I GOT DRENCHED. That is some subtle foreshadowing for what happened on this Monday.
Today I planned for myself to bike into downtown Copenhagen because I'd never done that before, so I marked the places I wanted to go on Google Maps and headed out.
But before going to all those places, I went and ate some Tebirkes with my father at a nice bakery. Then, I went off to the mall to buy some souvenirs and to take a look at the vintage store inside. I bought some very cute jeans, though I now realize they were slightly not the style I wanted and slightly big, but they are still very cute and I will be wearing them a lot in the future!
Next, I was able to bike all the way to downtown without getting lost! How cool is that! I sure was impressed with myself as I am not the best with directions.
I was on a hunt for all the vintage stores... I love vintage clothing and I also opt for thrift stores when I have to buy clothes. Danish clothing stores also close quite early (5pm-7pm), so I had to work fast! I went to various antique stores, as well. It was quite tiring to look through so many clothes! In the end, though, the only thing I bought were the pants in terms of clothing. I am so indecisive, it hurts! I am now looking at the photos I took and am slightly (very much) regretting the purchases I didn't make, but I can also think that as a good thing because that means I am not wasting my money... Sigh... Anyways, I also bought another thing. I bought it at this small, cute Christmas store in the basement of a side street. I imagine they don't get much business at this time of year, so I was very glad to give them my money! I bought this small Anne Beate Design Nisse doll! I like collecting these, I buy one whenever I can. They are so adorable and the fact that they are handmade makes me happy.

I went to a cafe at the end of my shopping and ordered a matcha latte because I wanted to feel cool, haha. The lady working there was very nice and brought the drink over to my table. I also got a free biscuit along with the drink! It was great.

Finally, I started to get my bicycle ready to go home, but some unfortunate circumstances started to occur... It started to rain... And very hard. I scrambled to get onto my bike to quickly beat the rain, but it was too late. It already started to storm and I'd already forgotten how to get home. So, I was biking against the rain and the wind on my face, not knowing where in the world I even was. No one tells you how hard it is to see when riding a bike while it's raining! The droplets go directly into your eyeballs and I struggled to open them to see where I was going. It was horrible... I also kept getting lost and didn't know where I was at all. I'd try to open the Google Maps on my phone, but the water hitting my phone made it very hard for my device to know what exactly to respond to. Later I did end up finding my way home after landing on a street I recognized and thereafter calling my father, but I was so stressed.
By the time I got home, I was head to toe covered in rainwater. Everytime I moved I could hear the water squish and slosh around in my clothes. It was a sensory nightmare.
But in the end, it was all okay because I got into the shower and recovered my state of being.
Well, the tea boxes I planned to give as souvenirs did not make it, though. You could see very visible water damage on them. Guys... I accidentally made tea in my bag...
Kind of irritated I did nothing, again today, but sometimes you need to rest.
I went to my dad's uncle's house today! My gruncle, you could say. It's a family tradition where whenever my parent(s) and I are in Denmark we meet up with the family in my gruncle's garden. Sadly, not everyone in the family could make it, so the party was smaller than usually, but that was okay.
Okay, so everytime I come to this garden party, my graunt serves these amazing sweet potato chips and I love them SO MUCH... I was mostly full just from eating that, they're so gooooood.
Well, anyways, earlier in the trip my gruncle told my father and I that he had our family tree on his grandfather's side and that'd he'd print a copy for us! I was really excited to see every person's name and origin on that side, it was very interesting and seeing all these old photos from people in my family that'd I'd never seen before was very cool. My gruncle also showed photos from his and his sisters' youths. Awesome!! I just love old photos shot on film. I also snagged an old school photo of my father, which was very amusing.
I saw a very cute cat!! I love cats!! This cat was very cute, drinking water out of absolutely everything! I took very many pictures, it was awesome.

My gruncle then made some food on the grill and my graunt served a potato salad and a fruit salad. All so scrumptious! I ate well that night.

I walked home at around 11pm because the houses are so close to eachother! Denmark is pretty safe, anyway.
As I predicted, Tivoli Gardens, again! Not complaining, of course, I like it there. My extended family came this time, too.

garbage truck.
Unfortunately, going there in the car made me very carsick for whatever reason. I think it was because of the electric car we rode in. It was way too smooth... That paired with how hot it was that day made me a bit dizzy, but strangely, eating popcorn did help me feel better. It's probably the salt content because of how much I was sweating. I couldn't try as much rides as I wanted to for that reason, but eventually I did try some.

Before going on the rides, though, I did some fair games with the kids of the family and I am proud to say... I won a stuffed duck... Because the game was picking rubber ducks up with a magnetic stick. Yup, I'm amazing. It wasn't easy or anything because I'm not a child, it was way difficult! Trust me...

Then, the standout ride I went on was the drop tower at Tivoli. I've done similar rides before, but it did get me quite nervous waiting in line. It was such a long wait, too. Seeing the people scream when shot up did make me a bit queasy, but I sucked it up and went on. It was fun! Although I'm not a big fan of the stomach dropping feeling, the adrenaline rush was exhilarating. My hair was quite crazy after.
After that, it was about dinner time. I really underestimated how long waiting in line for that ride would take. The kids were tired after all that, so we said our goodbyes to their family and they went on home. The rest of us went to a restaurant within Tivoli.

It was very cute inside with gingham tableclothes on each table. It was, again, another classic kind of restaurant, but I was a rebel and ordered a German dish. The Wiener schnitzel! It was sooo good... Mmmm. I particularly liked the capers and peas that came along with it, hahahah. When I finished eating, I wanted to go to the washroom, so I waltzed down there and promptly stopped in my tracks. It was a little confusing which door was to the Women's and which was to the Men's, but, you know, I eventually got it. It was a little funny, though, because after I finished my business and I was washing my hands, I could see in the mirror towards the outside and it was silly watching people confused on which room to go through, like I was.
Next was Fredags Rock! Which was actually what we came to Tivoli for! We could hear the concert from inside the restaurant, actually, so we only came out when the next performers were due to come on. I can't quite remember who it was that came on, but he was fun--but he also wasn't rock at all. Not to say that he was bad or anything, but for an event called "Fredags Rock" there was an astonishing lack of "Rock". It was, of course, still enjoyable, though! I thankfully brought my ear plugs, as I do not want to blow my ears out from the gargantuan speakers they have for live shows. I was so surprised at how many people didn't wear any earplugs, though. Guys! Do you not care about your hearing??? You need to take better care of your ears! Actually before I came out to watch the concert, I went into a little gift shop (it was quite overpriced, but the postcards they had on display enticed me and I couldn't resist it). They had the cutest vintage style postcards! The covers of these cards had vintage ads from the 30s-50s, and I couldn't resist buying a couple! I will insert a photo later!

Then the day was over and I went home and instantly conked out.
I have been made victim to a horrible, horrible event today. I dropped my concealer in the toilet. Just kill me now why don't you. Just strike me down from the skies now, God. I shall be laid to rest now. Obviously, I am overreacting, but it did truly feel like that in the moment because I was already in a rush to get ready (partly why I was stupid enough to drop the thing in the toilet, anyway). Before going to see my father's friend I had to go to the mall to get another concealer... And since I was still in a rush, I accidentally got a concealer slightly too light for my skin. It is a bit of a struggle to find concealers from western brands as my skin has a slight yellow-ish tinge to it and these concealers tend to be more orange and pink. So, the reason why I stupidly chose this new concealer was because it was the only one that wasn't overly orange or pink. Well... Anyways...
I went to Dragor again!! I like it there, it's very nice. The scenery is just beautiful. Especially because it was a sunny day this day. The sun's orange-y rays complimented the yellow bricks wonderfully. I could feel my brain producing all the happy chemicals whenever I laid my eyes on these structures.

Then, we had food with my father's friend. A different place than last time--I had a GIANT Caesar salad. It was crazy. I thought a salad wouldn't be enough so I also bought an appetizer, but I ended up just being really full from both dishes. The Caesar salad had a unique taste. I imagine it was because the Caesar dressing is (presumably) homemade. Or it's just one I'd never tried before.

Then, we went to my father's friend's friend's art exhibit. It was very cool because his art style was very wistful and black and white. Apparently, a lot of his paintings were inspired by PJ Harvey which surprised me a little bit. I didn't expect to make that connection there. His name is Casper Aaquist and I recommend checking him out!
When we exited the art exhbition, we just started walking around the neighbourhood. Saying this place is beautiful would be an understatement. I am forever envious of people who have this scenery apart of their daily lives. It almost maddens me that this is just their "normal". Grrr...

The ducklings were there with their mama, by the way! You can see a bit of her head on the left side! I did take photos of the whole family, but they weren't very good photos... And... More pictures!

We saw many cute cats roaming/lounging about in the neighbourhood! I just love cats! We saw a very uniquely coloured long-hair cat, as well. I say unique because this colour of brown is fairly rare in cats. It had beautiful green eyes, too! Reminded me of my own cat, though she has greenish-yellowish eyes. Changes depending on the lighting!

Well, then it was the end of the day... Ciao!

I went to an amazing cathedral today! It was Roskilde Cathedral, the burial church for every royal in the country! I thoroughly enjoyed witnessing the history and art this amazing feat of architecture had to offer!

from phone.

from phone.
Although this cathedral isn't very big, there is a lot packed into it. For example, you can see first hand all the changes in Danish Christian history. You can see how the Lutheran church was once Catholic and I found that very interesting. Harold Bluetooth was also buried in Roskilde Cathedral, although apparently no archaeological trace of him has been found. It is fascinating to even think about how long this place had been kept running. Seeing all the royal tombs and the art carved into all of them was just jaw dropping.
To be completely honest, I was given a pamphlet of the history of everything in the building, but I only skimmed it as I was too busy just looking at everything. I think that did most of the talking. I especially liked the door to the "Trolle family" tombs being exactly that--a troll!
I just adored the gothic architecture of it all and I could spend all day gushing about it, but I will upload the pictures from my camera to, well, paint a better picture!
After finishing taking a look at everything, my family and I went outside and my father spotted a sign that pointed to "Viking ships". When we went towards that direction we found a Viking museum. We did not go in, but were curious about the Viking cafe inside, as going to the cafe was free to enter. It was too bad for us, though, because just when we set foot inside, the kitchen closed, but then we saw in the distance the viking ships! So, we took a look. To actually go inside the largest ship, you had to pay for the tickets, though. Darn...

Anyways, I was starting to get really hungry, so we went to a nearby restaurant and ordered some food there, but the waiting time began to drag...On...Quite a bit. We waited for nearly two and a half hours to get our food. In which we realised they completely forgot about us and didn't even make our food. Safe to say, we stormed out of there. That was a real bummer... Haha... ha.
It turned out all okay in the end, though, as we regrouped with the rest of the family at a burger joint and got our well deserved hamburger... I was so hungry...

Today my father and I decided that we should put our bicycles to good use, so we biked to the downtown area of Copenhagen.

I left
We first went to a cafe and the waitress there told us she'd take our order if we sat down outside. So, we did, but it took her quite a while to come back 'round to us. This is when we realized she probably forgot to take our order, but I didn't really find it all that big of a deal. It's hard for me to get angry about those kinds of things. I had a croissant and it was yummy.
When I was done eating, I told my father I'd walk around the area to look for some vintage/thrift stores while he waited at the cafe, so he agreed and we parted ways. I went to a thrift store, but didn't really see anything eye-catching, so I left and I met back with my father.
(Note to self: check out your notes for redacted parts)
We went back onto our bikes again and we started biking around. We first went to the Church of Our Saviour cathedral that just had the most magnificent architecture inside. It was just breath-taking. I mean, I had seen it before, but that sight just doesn't get old.
Following that, my father said he wanted to also show me a more Gothic-looking Cathedral, knowing my fascination for the architecture, so we biked along the water to get there. Feeling the wind hit my face while on the bicycle was the best feeling ever. When we arrived at the cathedral, it was definitely beautiful. It was a fairly small one, but that obviously didn't negate the art of the structure. We wanted to go inside, but we just missed the hours for visiting, so that was disappointing. To make up for the fact, we ordered some Danish hot dogs from a nearby hot dog stand. And, of course, while I was eating the hot dog, I just had to spill mustard on my pants! Everything will wash out eventually, I guess...

On the bike ride home, my father and I passed along a few more vintage stores, but nothing could catch my eye! That was okay, though, I'm not much one to waste my money. Not to be holier than thou, or anything.
Another thing I want to add is that this time I biked with my father, I was able to catch up to his speed much more easier. I wasn't huffing and puffing like crazy and I am quite proud of that. I guess it was because I started working out more beforehand. Guys, I'm saddened to say that exercise actually does benefits you...Sigh.
And that was that!
Amazing Monday! We got to go to an old traditional Danish restaurant! We went during lunch... So we got... The lunch menu... Frokost menu, you could say... Anyways, it was really interesting. The retaurant dates back to 1720 and you can really see the history embedded in just the walls of the building. The decor was just beautiful and the oil lamps really set a moody atmosphere.
My father and I ordered a joint menu and the list of items was lengthy. There was food upon food and I can tell you we certainly weren't ready for the load. Especially my father. (There was an expectation that my grandmother would also have a few bites, but that did not happen...)
First, we had two different kinds of herring with a side of rye bread--meant to be eaten with the fish. As I was eating it, my family became quite surprised at my liking for the fish, as they said that herring is an acquired taste and that most non-natives to the country don't find it that appetizing. I mean, I wouldn't say it's my most favourite thing in the world, but I enjoyed eating it.

What we had after, was herring, once again. Except this time, it was fried. It was a little too flaky for my liking, though. As in, kind of stiff. It felt like it would get stuck in my throat and I didn't appreciate that, but the taste was good!

look appetizing in my photos...
Afterwards, we had fish filet with remoulade and let me tell you, I absolutely LOVE remoulade. If I had to pick one condiment to have for the rest of my life, it would certainly be remoulade. It is the best dressing ever. I love it so much. I would have it on its own if it was... Socially acceptable...
There's still more, all... Smoked salmon!! I didn't have much of that one, but it definitely had that nice salty, smoked, flavour... Well, as you'd expect from "Smoked Salmon". I'm going in circles, aren't I? There was also a small bowl of shrimp, but I didn't have any. I can't say I dislike shellfish, but it's definitely not my most favourite thing in the world.

bad...
Flæskesteg! Flæskesteg! And pork tenderloin with cream, mushrooms, and onions, if I recall correctly. In a perfect life, I would be a vegetarian, but alas, I am a meat eater and I just can't give this kind of food up! If there was a contest for the World's Most Enthusiastic Carnivore, I would win first place. Just because I'm enthusiastic about it, my diet isn't just 100% meat... I'm not an animal, haha. See what I did there... There was also beef brisket, with a kind of salad and chips on top. I am ashamed to say that I did not really eat the brisket and picked off the chip atop the dish to have a little nibble.

Finally, it was time for dessert in which you could choose either some types of cheese or a romkugler. My father and I chose the latter. Although I'd had this kind of dish in my life before, I hadn't tried it in a while. So, I was very surprised as to how, excuse my language, damn chocalate-y it was! When you eat a romkugler, it makes sure to cover every square inch of your mouth with the dessert and sticks to the roof of your mouth with determination. It was so very potently cacao flavour and the punch of the rum made it stronger. All that made me sound like I disliked the sweet, but no, I quite liked it. I just don't know if I'd be able to eat, I don't know, five back to back. The savoury equivalent to that would be to eat 10 saltine crackers back to back.
At the end of this hefty meal, my father was extremely full because he wanted to scarf down everything (no hate to him), but I was not so. I was just about full enough. I am very proud of the fact that I made sure to eat very wisely so that I wouldn't be a perfect shaped ball of a human walking back to the car. I just hate that feeling of being overly full, so I made sure to eat just enough that I was satisfied. So when I announced to my family that "I wasn't that full," they were quite shocked. Even the waiter overheard what I said and made the most appalled face ever. He said to me, "You're not full?! Well, we have more food you know. We're in a restaurant, after all! You want more food?!". When I responded "No, thank you," he asked me "Are you sure?! You're sure?!" which I found quite funny.

I will be having a good night's rest tonight!
Sunday funday! Today was more of a lowkey day, my father and I went to the mall to look around and such and we met up with my father's cousin to have a cup of coffee. The drinks were good, but not anything special as we got them from a chain cafe. What surprised me in there, though, was the tip jar! I didn't quite expect to see that in Denmark.
After the mall, I wanted to take a look at an Asian market as I was curious to see what products would be displayed in Denmark--and I saw a lot more products than I thought there would be. A pleasant surprise! I would be able to survive if I lived here...

The next thing we all did was eat at a Filipino restaurant! This was my first experience with Filipino food, and safe to say, I liked it! I don't really have any other commentary as I am not a food critic with a distinguished palate. I just liked it, okay!! The restaurant was Filipino-ran, so that was also great!

Today was also the day that my father and I got our bicycles! Yay! I really like bike-riding and lament the fact that my home country isn't the best place to do that in. No... It's not the country you're thinking of... So, my father and I did some evening-biking. We met some adorable cats along the way! Well, they were having a scuffle and some fur flied through the air, but they were cute in their own way! One was a fluffy long-haired brown, black, and white cat and the other was a white and orange spoted cat. How cute!

Okay that was all for today, bye.
On this Saturday the whooole family got together at my father's aunt and uncle's house! It is a very nice house with a backyard, but it was raining so we weren't able to lounge outside, instead opting for the living room...
There were some cakes laid out, and I don't quite remember the name of one of them, but I think it may have been a Mazarinkage? My father's aunt told me that police in Denmark have the stereotype of eating these cakes, just like the stereotype of police eating donuts in the USA! That was funny, I think. I can't blame those policemen though... That cake was good...
everyone started eating...
Unfortunately, I am not very fluent in Danish, only knowing a little bit, so I am often unable to follow conversations between my family members closely. I think my father's aunt recognized this and asked me if I would like to have a look at her yarn collection (knowing that I , myself, crochet). She let me go through them and pick some to take home! Score!! Of course, I chose my favourite colours green and brown... For the rest of the day, I crocheted a headband with laser focus, promising some of my family members to finish that piece within a few hours!! I did... Yay!
My father and I also gave some souvenirs from our country to the family and my father's aunt gave some to us, as well. To my father, a shirt and to me, a moomin cup she bought in Sweden! I LOVE MOOMIN!!!! ANOTHER CUP TO MY COLLECTION!!!!

Normally, my father's uncle would cook some flæskesteg, but due to his injury he couldn't this time. So, we ordered some pizza! I don't really remember the name of the one I ordered, but it had pepperoni, onions, and I think basil? Well, it was good, whatever the toppings were.
Last thing... I met a very nice orange kitty named Eva! She was the neighbour's cat, but she waltzed into the house like she owned the place and carefully plopped herself against the front door. I wanted to pet her for the rest of the night, but I had to give the kids of the family a chance, too... Darn...

Today I went to Dragør! My father's friend since highschool lives there, so we decided to meet at a cafe down by the water. Dragør is the countryside of Denmark and is very beautiful with rows upon rows of old yellow houses with red tiled roofs surrounded by naturally growing flowers
As we caught up with my father's friend we, again, ate some food. Not Danish... But I drank a chai latte and ate some lasagna. I just love lasagna too much... I couldn't resist... We were in Dragør for a very long time, but all we did pretty much was chat!
Oh, another thing to add, I am finding a lot of "Chai Lattes" on Danish cafe menus, which I found to be fairly interesting! Where I'm from, the default is Matcha...
Also, my father accidentally paid for three people for the bus, haha...
We basically didn't do anything today, just took it easy as we were still recovering from jetlag, though now I kind of wish we did do something. Oh well, at least we walked over to the bakery to buy a cake for my grandmother! The cakes I've seen so far in Denmark are decently priced, which was surprising to me as everything else is... So expensive. If you go to a restaurant, you will always have to pay for water, as well... That's crazy! Well anyways, we sat with her on her apartment balcony, drank some tea, and ate some citronkage--lemon cake!

Today was (probably) the first day that I am going to Tivoli Gardens!! I went with my father and some family friends we coincidentally met at the airport and subsequently made plans with. When we were about to leave the house, my father and I looked out the window and saw the very big, very yellow, very pretty sun and concluded that it would be a very sunny day that day. Unfortunately... We were very wrong.

Twin Peaks...
At first, it was just as we predicted, so we were able to go on the rides at the amusement park with incredible ease--the lines being easy to deal with. Then later on, it started to really downpour. Like, torrential downpour. It was horrible. I didn't think I needed a jacket, so I was stood there with my small foldable umbrella and no hood, getting drenched in the rain. I was especially drenched because the rain started just as we were going on a rollercoaster. I was splashed FACE FIRST with water, going however many kilometres fast. Though, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that my makeup stayed on almost perfectly. So, kids, if you want your makeup to stay on fairly well in a rainstorm just wear the e.l.f. Power Grip Matte Primer, the LUNA Fixing-Fit Concealer, the CANMAKE Abloom Finishing Powder, the Heroine Make Waterproof Mascara and Gel Eyeliner, and lastly the Kosé Waterproof Setting Spray!!
After the rollercoaster, we had some obligatory Danish-French Hotdogs (I'm not sure if these hotdogs are actually French, I think the one I ate is just called that since it's a wiener stuffed into a baguette) and they were deeeelicious! Yum. I will definitely eat more in the upcoming days...
For some reason, as the time went on, the rain started to clear up for 10 minutes, then started to rain again for the next 20, so it became a race to look for cover every few moments. So, in one of the times the showers cleared, we went to get some giant soft serves... Will attach a photo later.
Even with all the time that passed since the rain started, it was still super irregular, so we decided that we would go home, as my father and I also had some dinner plans. We then went our separate ways and I made my way to the nearest MATAS... Wanna know why?... I ran out of my Heroine Make Gel Eyeliner!! It was so terrible!! I was thinking to myself before my vacation... "Maybe you need to buy another eyeliner, you know, just in case,". But the devil (in this case) on my shoulder told me to stay frugal and this is where it got me!! In the end, though, I couldn't decide on an eyeliner and left empty handed... Sigh, the feminine life is hard.
After some downtime, my father's cousin picked us up to go eat some traditional Danish food at a restaurant with the rest of the family. The place used to be an old... Something... 300 years ago... I can't remember, I'm sorry. BIG YELLOW TRADITIONAL BUILDING. Is that a good visual for you? I also can't remember the restaurant name. I promise that's the reason and that I'm not a gatekeeper, haha...
in the background...
I loved the whole aesthetics of the restaurant, being a sucker for anything historical. I wanted to order the fiskefilet on rye bread, but unfortunately it was on the lunch menu! Fortunately, we were able to get the waitress to beg to the chef on our behalf to make it for us! Saying that we came from abroad in all... I am so lucky! I was also... Very stuffed at the end of it all.
To all the deep snoozes tonight!

restaurant.
Today was the day I arrived in Denmark! Of course, I didn't do much as I arrived pretty late into the day. I just ate some good ol' Danish rye bread and am about to go to bed at a very reasonable time--9:00pm. How daring. What's even more daring is the 24 hour clock. That's the thing here that I just can't quite get used to.
